  • Hampton Beach, NH is open to horses October 1 to April 30.
  • Crane Beach, Ipswich MA is open to horses October 1 to March 31.

Rider Detail

  • We do not ride the horses to the beach. You start at North Road Farm and follow the horse trailer in your car. You DO NOT need to return to North Road Farm after your beach ride unless you so desire.
  • Your safety is our top priority!  A pre-beach ride lesson is required for all new, beginning or novice rider.  This not a “head-to-tail, follow-the-leader” dude ranch ride.  You are riding independently in full control of your horse.
  • Do not pressure a family or party member to ride! Folks are welcome to walk the trail or beach on foot and have wonderful, relaxing time watching YOU ride!
  • You will be paired with a mount that matches your skill level, height and weight.  The horses will carry no more that 198 lbs. of rider weight.
  • All riders must complete and submit this online Rider Release to help us understand your riding ability and give us permission to take you horseback riding on the beach.
  • A guided beach ride is a maximum of 4 horses & 4 riders.
  • A guided trail ride is a maximum of 5 horses & 5 riders.
  • To give you the best possible experience, the day and time of your beach ride must coordinate with the low tide, sunlight and weather.  Please give us a several dates & time combinations that work for you and your party.
