JaFar was purchased in Canada to be Boxer's companion in 1999 and give Jan a new mount to train. JaFar was chosen because for his spectacular marble-grey coloring, intellegence and sturdy breeding. His grey dapples have faded but his fine Arabian head, keen senses and nimble, athletic ability remain in full capacity.
A natural jumper, JaFar is trusty and quick over fences and clever in the field. He also knows his lead changes and will offer fly-changes on cue. Western is also easy for JaFar, dropping his head and delivering an effortless slow jog that is easy to sit.
JaFar enjoys showing off his intelligence by opening his stall door and tossing his halter across the floor.
